Pumpkins and Animals The Size Of Cars – What Could Go Wrong?

The Great Pumpkin Caper

We found this story from The Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee and had to share this with all you animal lovers.

What happens when a load of pumpkins are dropped into the paddocks of the sanctuary?

The Great Pumpkin Caper begins….there are rolling pumpkins, pumpkins in piles, squashed pumpkins.

There are inquisitive elephants, playful elephants, elephants eating pumpkins.

A trailer full of pumpkins was donated to The Sanctuary last week by Jaime Dudney and Gary Sheibler from The Fontanel Mansion in Nashville, Tennessee.

What happens when the elephants are released?………

The elephants chased rolling pumpkins, toppled pumpkin towers, squashed pumpkins under foot — and of course ate them. The Great Pumpkin Drop was a perfect “enrichment” event for this season.
